Copper press screening KKV25 is the extra fine version among tinned press screens, 150 cm wide. The fine mesh is the decisive difference: the finer the screen, the less its structure imprints into the outer fabric.
Which fabrics is KKV25 intended for?
Everything that takes on structure: silk, viscose, fine wool qualities, smooth linings, coated materials. On a coarse screen these fabrics show a visible grid under pressing force; with KKV25 the mesh is so small that the imprint practically disappears.
Dual function on the upper plate
KKV25 prevents shine because it interrupts direct flat contact between hot plate and fabric. At the same time the metallic structure lets steam escape instead of trapping it in the fabric. Together this produces a clean pressing result without glazing.
Width and ordering
At 150 cm, KKV25 covers even large upper plates in one piece. It is sold in square metres; one running metre equals 1.5 m². The minimum order is a 5 metre length, i.e. 7.5 m².

Häufige Fragen
Why is KKV25 more expensive than KKV50?
The finer wire gauge and denser weave require more material and more complex production.
Is KKV25 also suitable for the lower plate?
Yes, although steam distribution matters more there than fineness, for which KKV50 is usually sufficient.
How long does a copper screen last?
Several years in normal use. Deformation, cracks or flaking tin plating are the signal to replace it.
