Nylon-Stretch NS1 is an elastic polyamide top cover at 230 gsm and 140 cm width, available in olive and light blue. It combines the stretch of a knit with the tear strength of nylon.
Why an elastic top cover?
A rigid cover has to be adapted to contoured press plates with darts, and every seam is a potential imprint. NS1 stretches instead and lies flat without creases. That noticeably shortens fitting time when changing covers.
Material properties
Polyamide is particularly abrasion resistant and keeps its elasticity even after many steam cycles. At 230 gsm, NS1 is light enough to let steam pass freely yet robust enough for daily operation on pressing machines.
Colour choice and ordering
Olive and light blue are priced identically; the choice usually depends on how visible residues should be. Supplied from rolls of approximately 35 or 60 metres, sold from one running metre at 140 cm width.

What is the difference to NS2?
NS2 is 260 gsm and heavier, designed for more heavily loaded presses. NS1 is the lighter standard version.
Can NS1 be used on ironing tables?
Yes, especially on contoured tables and sleeve bucks where the stretch is an advantage.
How tightly should the cover be tensioned?
Firmly enough that no creases remain; over-stretching shortens service life and reduces recovery force.
