PTFE glass fabric TG2-PS is the finely perforated version of TG2. The considerably smaller and more closely spaced holes give a more even steam flow than the coarse perforation.
Why fine perforation for pocket pressing
When pressing flaps and pockets, an exact and even edge is what counts. Coarse holes can concentrate steam at individual points and leave visible patterns in delicate outer fabrics. The fine perforation distributes steam evenly across the area.
Non-stick at the edge
On pockets and flaps, interlinings and adhesives often sit directly at the pressing edge. The PTFE coating prevents residues from settling on the template, so the edge stays clean and the template remains usable for a long time.
Making templates
TG2-PS is usually cut into templates matching the contour of the part being pressed. Cut edges should be heat sealed. Supplied from rolls of 30 metres at 100 cm width.

Häufige Fragen
How does TG2-PS differ from TG34?
TG34 is an open, porous fabric 0.34 mm thick – more air permeable but less smooth.
Can TG2-PS serve as a conveyor belt?
Yes, provided the fine perforation offers sufficient air throughput.
How are cut edges sealed?
With a hot knife or a soldering iron with a flat tip.
