Soft-Fix® light SFL100 is the softest pad in the Soft-Fix® range: light red silicone foam in a supersoft setting, available in 10 and 15 mm thickness at 134 cm width.
Why a supersoft overpad?
The softer the overpad, the less the contour of the garment prints through. Seams, buttons, pocket edges and zips sink into the pad instead of pressing into the outer fabric. For jackets, coats and delicate wool qualities that is the decisive factor.
Why silicone foam
Silicone foam stays elastic across a wide temperature range, absorbs almost no moisture and does not harden like PU foam or felt. The open cell structure lets steam through instead of trapping it, which is the precondition for garments leaving the press dry.
Choosing a thickness and ordering
10 mm is the standard thickness for normal press build-ups; 15 mm adds volume for strongly contoured goods. Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 134 cm width equals 1.34 m². Cutting is in full running metres only.

Overpad or underpad?
SFL100 is designed as an overpad, i.e. the top soft layer beneath the cover.
How long does a silicone foam pad last?
Considerably longer than PU foam, often several years. Height loss and hardening are the signals to replace it.
Why only full running metres?
Silicone foam is cut from the roll; partial metres cannot be converted cleanly.
