Titan Special BMIS-05 is a red, hard-set silicone foam pad 100 cm wide, available in 5 and 10 mm thickness. Hard here means maximum and even pressure build-up.
Why hard on transfer presses?
In thermal transfer the pressure must be equally high across the whole area so the transfer adheres completely. A soft pad levels out irregularities but distributes pressure unevenly – more at thick spots, less at thin ones. A hard pad keeps the pressure constant.
Material construction
BMIS-05 is a silicone foam, not a PU foam. It therefore stays elastic even at the high continuous temperatures of transfer presses, does not harden and releases no residues onto the transfer medium.
Thicknesses and formats
The 5 mm version comes on rolls of 5 metres or as a 1000 x 1000 mm sheet; the 10 mm version corresponds to the BMIS-10 quality. Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 100 cm width equals 1.0 m².
