PTFE foil TF025 is a self-adhesive cut sheet measuring 300 x 200 mm with a material thickness of 0.25 mm. It is designed as a sliding and release film for presser feet and similar applications.
Sliding instead of sticking
PTFE has one of the lowest friction coefficients of all engineering plastics. Bonded to a presser foot it slides over sticky, coated or rubberised materials that would grip on bare metal. Synthetic leather, films and coated fabrics can therefore be processed without feed problems.
Further applications
Guides, stops, supports on cutting tables, sliding surfaces on feed devices. Wherever material should slide across a surface without sticking or marking.
Cutting and bonding
The foil can be cut to shape with scissors or a knife. The substrate must be clean and free of grease. Supplied from 15 pieces; the 0.50 mm version TF050 is available for higher loads.

From a few days to several weeks depending on material and sewing volume. It is replaced as a wear part.
Which thickness should I choose?
0.25 mm for fine work, 0.50 mm where the foil is under greater mechanical stress.
Does the adhesive hold during sewing?
Yes, the adhesive layer is designed for permanent bonding to metal.
