Filter foam NP4R is an anthracite, open-pore foam with 25 ppi in a 2000 x 1000 x 20 mm sheet format. It is used as a pre-filter stage in extraction systems.
What 25 ppi means
The ppi figure stands for pores per inch and describes the fineness of the foam. 25 ppi is a medium porosity: fine enough to retain fibre fly and coarser particles, yet open enough to keep pressure loss and therefore fan load low.
A pre-filter protects the main stage
Fine filters and filter cells are expensive and clog quickly when coarse fibre fly hits them directly. An upstream foam mat catches that fraction and considerably extends the service life of the expensive filter stage, at a fraction of the cost.
Cutting and ordering
The sheet can be cut to any filter size with a sharp or electric knife. One sheet equals 2.0 m². Price and delivery time are quoted according to requirement – please state the quantity needed.

Depending on fibre fly in operation; visible clogging and declining extraction performance are the signals.
Can the foam be washed out?
Coarse dust can be knocked or blown out; with heavy soiling replacement is more sensible.
