The rubber fastener is an elastic fastening element with three holes and a length of 190 mm, available in white, yellow, red, blue and green. It keeps press covers permanently under tension.

Elastic rather than rigid

A cover stretches when heated and contracts again when cooling. A rigid fixing cannot absorb that movement, so the cover becomes alternately too taut and too slack. The rubber fastener absorbs the movement and keeps tension constant.

Three holes for fine adjustment

The three holes allow pre-tension to be set in steps: hole one for short distances, hole three for longer ones. The same fastener therefore fits different cover formats without stocking several lengths.

Colours and ordering

White is the standard colour; yellow, red, blue and green are also available at the same price. The minimum order is 10 pieces. As an alternative, the special net fastener with 80 cm cord is available.

Häufige Fragen

How long does a rubber fastener last?

Rubber ages under heat and steam. Hardening or reduced elasticity are the signals to replace it.

What are the three holes for?

For adjusting pre-tension in steps according to the cover format.

Are the fasteners heat resistant?

They are designed for use on press covers; direct contact with the hot plate should be avoided.
