Anti-lustre mesh fabric AG16 is a polyester wire screening in fine braid weave at 300 gsm and 150 cm width. The braid weave produces a smoother and finer surface than the coarser twill weave.
Braid weave in detail
In braid weave the weft threads lie closer together than in twill. The result is a finer, more even surface that prevents shine without leaving a visible structure of its own. For delicate outer fabrics that is the decisive difference.
Use as a pressing template
AG16 is also made into templates for pressing pockets and flaps. The fabric holds its shape, lets steam through and allows edges to be pressed cleanly and repeatably, a noticeable time saving in garment manufacturing.
Further fitting locations
Besides pressing machines and ironing tables, AG16 is used on sleeve bucks, where the small area and pronounced curvature call for a fine, formable fabric.
