MICRO-SIL foam silicone SIL83 is a green sheet pad in a medium soft setting, 9 mm thick in the 1800 x 900 mm format. It closes the gap between the soft SIL89 and the medium-firm SIL81.
The middle hardness grade
Between soft and medium-firm lies the setting most operations get on best with: compliant enough that seams and buttons do not print through, firm enough to hold its height at high cycle rates. SIL83 occupies exactly that position.
9 mm as a compromise
At 9 mm, SIL83 sits between the 6 mm standard sheets and the 15 mm volume pads. For presses with a medium opening height that is often the only thickness offering enough padding volume without straining the closing mechanism.
Format and ordering
The sheet measures 1800 x 900 mm, i.e. 1.62 m², and is sold by the piece. Offcuts work well for sleeve bucks and small presses.
