MICRO-SIL foam silicone SIL89 is a rusty red, soft sheet pad in the 1800 x 900 mm format, available in 10 and 15 mm thickness. At 15 mm it is the most voluminous sheet pad in the range.
When plenty of volume is needed
On voluminous garments – lined jackets, coats, quilted goods – the pad has to yield deeply so seams and edges do not print through. 15 mm of soft silicone foam provides that depth without stacking several layers.
Soft and heat resistant at once
Soft foams normally harden fastest under steam because they have the lowest material density. MICRO-SIL qualities are engineered for heat resistance and keep their softness considerably longer than PU-based alternatives.
Formats and selection
10 mm for standard build-ups, 15 mm where maximum compliance is required. The sheet measures 1800 x 900 mm, i.e. 1.62 m², and is sold by the piece.

Häufige Fragen
Does 15 mm fit every press?
No – the opening height must be sufficient. Where space is tight, choose the 10 mm version.
How does SIL89 differ from SIL81?
SIL89 is soft, SIL81 medium-firm. SIL89 is also available in thicker grades.
Is a soft pad less durable?
It compacts somewhat faster but, as a silicone foam, lasts far longer than comparable PU qualities.
