Polyamide needlefelt PANF5 is a thin intermediate pad at 250 gsm and 2.5 mm thickness in 155 cm width. Polyamide as the fibre base brings higher elasticity than polyester.
Elasticity as the distinguishing feature
Polyamide fibres have higher elongation at break and spring back into shape faster. A polyamide pad compacts more slowly under cyclic loading and keeps its height longer than a comparable polyester quality.
The thin build-up
At 2.5 mm, PANF5 is one of the thinnest pads in the range. It is used where the build-up must stay flat but a cushioning layer is still required, for example as a soft top layer in multi-layer stacks.
Ordering
Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 155 cm width equals 1.55 m². Rolls of 30 metres, no preferential origin for customs purposes. Cut with scissors or a rotary cutter.

What is the difference to PANF4?
PANF4 is 1425 gsm and 10 mm, a heavy base pad. PANF5 is the thin, lightweight version.
Is polyamide more heat resistant than polyester?
No, both are around 150 °C continuous. Polyamide scores on elasticity and abrasion resistance.
Can PANF5 serve as the only pad?
Only in very flat build-ups. It is usually combined with a thicker base pad.
