Polyester needlefelt PNF10 offers 1000 gsm over 8 mm thickness at 130 cm width. The high fibre density makes it the pad for machines where service life matters more than soft compliance.
Density as a service life factor
A pad ages because fibres compact permanently under pressure. The more fibre mass per square metre, the longer that process takes. At 1000 gsm, PNF10 has around 50 % more substance than the standard PNF2.
Typical applications
Pressing machines with high closing force, ironing tables in continuous operation, applications with long cycle times under load. Wherever lighter felts visibly flatten after a few weeks, PNF10 lasts considerably longer.
Ordering
Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 130 cm width equals 1.3 m². Supplied from rolls of 30 metres. Cut with a sharp rotary cutter, as the material is densely packed.

Is PNF10 too hard for delicate goods?
For very delicate goods, combine it with a softer top layer such as silicone foam or a soft felt.
Why only 130 cm width?
That is the standard width for this quality. For wider plates, PNF15 at 180 cm or PNF2 at 150 cm are available.
Is the felt steam permeable?
Yes, though less so than lighter qualities – add a spacer fabric where steam volume is high.
