Polyester needlefelt PNF7 is a thin felt singed on one side, at 400 gsm and with a fabric insert, available in 180 and 220 cm width. It is not a pad but cleaning material for fusing machines.
How a cleaning felt works
In fusing machines hot-melt adhesive strikes through the outer material and deposits on belts and rollers. A cleaning felt runs along, picks up the still soft adhesive and is replaced regularly. Without this layer the machine clogs and fusing quality drops.
Why singed on one side
Singeing thermally removes protruding fibres. The resulting smooth surface picks up adhesive without fibres detaching and reaching the goods. That is exactly what distinguishes PNF7 from an ordinary needlefelt.
Fabric insert and widths
The integrated fabric insert prevents the belt from stretching under load and tracking sideways. Widths of 180 and 220 cm cover the common machine sizes, both at the same price per square metre.

Häufige Fragen
How often is the cleaning felt replaced?
Depending on adhesive volume – daily to weekly with heavy strike-through, far less often otherwise.
Which side faces up?
The singed, smooth side faces the adhesive or the surface to be cleaned.
Can PNF7 be used as padding?
No, it is too thin for that. PNF2 or PNF3 are intended for padding tasks.
