PES wire screening AG20 is an extra fine polyester quality at just 135 gsm and 160 cm width. Fine and light at the same time, this combination makes it an all-rounder between intermediate layer and pressing template.
Fineness without weight
Fine fabrics are usually also heavy because more threads per centimetre are used. AG20 achieves its fine structure with thin yarn and therefore stays at 135 gsm. The result is a fabric that adds almost no build-up and does not lengthen the steam path.
Templates for pockets and flaps
Because AG20 is dimensionally stable and steam permeable, it is excellent for making pressing templates. The contour is cut, the edge heat sealed, and pockets and flaps can be pressed repeatably with a clean edge.
As an intermediate layer in the press build-up
In the upper position AG20 protects the padding; in the lower position it distributes steam. Its low build-up keeps the overall stack flat, a practical advantage on presses with limited opening height.

What distinguishes AG20 from AG27?
AG27 is even lighter at 75 gsm and even more open. AG20 is somewhat more robust and holds its shape better.
Is AG20 suitable as a top cover?
Yes, for robust goods. For very fine outer fabrics a top cover such as AG16 is the safer choice.
How is the cut edge sealed?
Thermally, for example with a hot knife, so the fabric does not fray.
