PTFE glass fabric TG2-P is the perforated version of the standard TG2 fabric. The perforation is the decisive difference: it turns a closed non-stick web into a permeable one.
When perforation is necessary
On vacuum tables and extraction systems, air has to pass through the covering. A closed PTFE fabric blocks that path completely and renders the extraction ineffective. The perforation in TG2-P restores air flow without giving up the non-stick effect.
Non-stick despite the holes
The PTFE coating sits on all surfaces including the hole edges. Adhesives and polymer melts therefore find no grip at the perforations either. The web consequently stays in service longer than uncoated perforated materials.
Use and ordering
TG2-P is used as a covering on vacuum ironing tables, in fusing lines with extraction and as a perforated conveyor belt. Supplied from rolls of 30 metres at 100 cm width, sold from one running metre.

What is the difference to TG2-PS?
TG2-PS has a finer perforation and is designed specifically for pressing flaps and pockets.
Does perforation reduce strength?
Slightly. For normal belt tensions the tensile strength remains sufficient.
Can TG2-P be cut to size?
Yes, with sharp scissors. Cut edges should be heat sealed.
