PTFE glass fabric TG34 differs fundamentally from closed PTFE webs: it is built open and porous, 0.34 mm thick and 150 cm wide. Air and steam pass through unimpeded.
Porous rather than perforated
Perforated fabrics have defined holes in a closed surface. TG34 by contrast is woven open from the start, so permeability is distributed evenly across the whole area. That gives a more homogeneous steam flow without point concentration.
As a pressing template
Because TG34 is dimensionally stable, non-stick and air permeable, it is excellent for templates used to press pockets and flaps. Cut the contour, heat seal the edge, and the result is a durable template to which no adhesive sticks.
Ordering
TG34 is supplied from rolls of 30 metres at 150 cm width. The minimum order is 5 running metres. Cut with sharp scissors; cut edges should be heat sealed.
