PTFE glass fabric TG66-AS is an antistatic non-stick fabric in black, 0.25 mm thick and available in 100, 150 and 200 cm width. The antistatic finish solves a problem that becomes visible quickly in operation.
Why antistatic?
Running PTFE belts build up an electrostatic charge through friction. The consequence is fibre fly, dust and cutting waste sticking to the belt and being carried into the goods. The antistatic finish dissipates the charge and keeps the belt considerably cleaner.
More thickness, more service life
At 0.25 mm, TG66-AS is around 65 % thicker than the standard TG2 fabric. That additional material thickness translates directly into abrasion resistance, especially at deflection rollers and scrapers where belts wear fastest.
Choosing the width
100 cm for compact fusing machines, 150 cm as the most common width, 200 cm for large-format lines. Because seams are weak points in running belts, the width should always allow the belt to be made in one piece.

Häufige Fragen
What distinguishes TG66-AS from TG7-AS?
TG7-AS is thicker still at 0.35 mm and therefore designed for particularly abrasive applications.
Why is the fabric black?
The antistatic finish uses conductive additives that give the PTFE its black colour.
How is an endless belt made up?
The ends are overlapped and thermally joined with PFA welding film.
