PTFE glass fabric TG7-AS is the heaviest antistatic quality in the range at 0.35 mm, available in 100 and 150 cm width. Where belts wear out fast, material thickness is the most effective lever.
Why thickness is decisive
A PTFE belt does not wear evenly but at defined points: deflection rollers, scrapers, edges. There the coating is removed until the glass fabric is exposed and frays. More material thickness extends that process proportionally – 0.35 mm lasts noticeably longer than 0.15 mm.
Antistatic in continuous operation
The longer a belt runs, the more charge it accumulates. The antistatic finish on TG7-AS dissipates that charge continuously. Fibre fly and cutting waste do not stick, and cleaning intervals become longer.
Ordering and fabrication
TG7-AS is supplied from rolls of 30 metres, sold from one running metre. For endless belts the ends are overlapped and joined with PFA welding film; the greater thickness requires somewhat longer welding time.

Häufige Fragen
Is TG7-AS worth it over TG66-AS?
If belts visibly fail through abrasion, yes. Under moderate load TG66-AS is more economical.
Is the fabric still flexible enough?
For normal deflection radii, yes. With very small roller diameters a thinner quality is better.
What temperature does TG7-AS withstand?
PTFE is rated for continuous use into the 260 °C range.
