Silicone foam SF75, identified by its turquoise blue colour, is the hardest quality in the range, 5 mm thick at 134 cm width. Hard here means the pad builds counter-pressure instead of yielding.
Why a hard pad?
Sharp creases require counter-pressure. A soft pad lets the crease sink in and rounds it off; a hard pad resists, so the crease is formed precisely. On trouser creases, collar edges and lapels that is the decisive difference.
As an underpad in the build-up
SF75 is typically used as the bottom layer directly on the press plate. It transmits pressing force upwards with minimal loss and prevents plate irregularities from carrying through into a soft pad.
Thicknesses and availability
5 mm is standard. Thicknesses of 8 mm and 10 mm are available on request. Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 134 cm equals 1.34 m², supplied in full running metres.

Häufige Fragen
Is SF75 suitable for delicate outer fabrics?
Not as the top layer. A soft overpad such as SF15 or SFL100 belongs above it.
Why are 8 and 10 mm on request?
These thicknesses are converted to order; we confirm price and delivery time promptly.
What does turquoise blue mean?
In the Soft-Fix® colour code, turquoise blue stands for the hard grade.
