Silicone high temperature hose SS37 measures 6 x 1.75 mm and is supplied on rolls of 50 metres. Silicone is the standard material for steam lines on ironing machines.
Why silicone for steam
Rubber hoses harden under steam and become brittle; PVC does not withstand the temperature. Silicone stays elastic across a wide temperature range, barely ages under heat and releases no plasticisers that could deposit on the goods.
Wall thickness and pressure
At 6 mm outer diameter and 1.75 mm wall thickness, the remaining bore is designed for control and condensate lines. The substantial wall prevents the hose kinking at bends and interrupting flow.
Routing and ordering
Silicone hoses can be cut to length with a sharp knife or hose cutter. When routing, avoid tight radii and do not overtighten clamps. Minimum order 10 running metres.

Is the hose pressure resistant?
It is designed for the usual operating pressures of ironing installations; PTFE hoses are intended for high-pressure applications.
How do I know when to replace the hose?
When it hardens, cracks at bends or shows visible swelling.
