Soft-Fix® SF45 is the grey-green, medium-firm silicone foam pad, available in 6 and 10 mm at 134 cm width. It is designed as a base pad that absorbs the bulk of the pressing force.
Firmness as a service life factor
The firmer a pad is set, the less it compacts under cyclic loading. SF45 therefore loses height far more slowly than soft qualities. In operations with high pressing force and multi-shift running, that is the decisive point.
Position in the build-up
SF45 sits as the bottom padding layer directly on the press plate. A softer overpad follows above, absorbing the contour of the garment. This two-layer build-up combines service life below with compliance on top.
Thickness and ordering
6 mm for flat build-ups, 10 mm where the base pad should also level out plate irregularities. Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 134 cm equals 1.34 m². Supplied in full running metres.

Häufige Fragen
Can SF45 also serve as an overpad?
With robust goods, yes. On delicate outer fabrics the contour tends to print through, so add a soft pad above.
Is SF45 also available as sheet material?
Yes, as sheets 2000 x 1340 x 8 mm under item 210066T.
What does grey-green mean?
In the Soft-Fix® colour code, grey-green stands for the medium-firm hardness grade.
