Soft-Fix® Special SRS024 is an ochre silicone foam sheet measuring 2000 x 940 mm, available in 5 and 8 mm thickness. What sets it apart is not its hardness but its resistance to hydrolysis.
What hydrolysis resistance means
Steam is hot water. Over years it attacks polymer chains and breaks them down; the foam becomes crumbly, loses elasticity and disintegrates. SRS024 is specially stabilised against this process and therefore lasts where standard foams fail after a few months.
Where the extra cost pays off
In laundries, fusing lines and pressing operations with very high steam throughput in multi-shift running. If pads there visibly disintegrate rather than merely compacting, the cause is hydrolysis, and SRS024 is the answer.
Format and ordering
The sheet measures 2000 x 940 mm, i.e. 1.88 m². Invoiced in square metres. The 8 mm version is the standard, 5 mm for flat build-ups. Further thicknesses on request.
