Spacer fabric PES5925 is the thick version in the spacer range at 10 mm and 155 cm width. In many build-ups it replaces two layers of needlefelt with a single, permanently air-permeable padding layer.
One layer instead of several
Where two or three felt layers were previously stacked, a single layer of PES5925 is often enough. That simplifies cover changes considerably and prevents moisture collecting between layers, a common cause of mildew stains and unpleasant odour.
How the height is maintained
The vertical pile threads between the face layers carry the load and stand back up after every release. Unlike fibre fleeces, which flatten under continuous pressure, the knit keeps its 10 mm over a long period.
Cutting and fitting
PES5925 is sold in square metres; one running metre at 155 cm equals 1.55 m². Cut with scissors or a rotary cutter; edges do not need finishing. The top cover goes above it and, depending on the build-up, an intermediate layer below.

Which machines suit 10 mm?
Ironing tables and presses with sufficient opening height. For flat build-ups, PES6018 at 5.5 mm is the better choice.
How heat resistant is the material?
Polyester withstands roughly 150 °C contact temperature continuously.
Can several layers be combined?
Yes, that is possible, but in most build-ups it is not necessary.
