The stainless steel iron shoe MICROSTEEL for CISSEL is a stainless steel shoe with a rim, made in the dimension 177 x 108 mm. It is designed for maximum service life and is the right choice where coated shoes wear out too quickly.
Stainless steel instead of a coating
The MICROSTEEL shoe for CISSEL is made of stainless steel rather than coated aluminium. There is therefore no non-stick layer that could wear away. Service life is correspondingly many times that of a PTFE shoe, at the cost of slightly higher sliding resistance.
Inserts for steam distribution
The shoe for CISSEL with 177 x 108 mm has integrated inserts that distribute the steam emerging from the holes across the surface. Without that distribution, wet spots form at the steam holes and dry zones between them, a common cause of uneven pressing results.
When stainless steel is the right choice
Wherever soles are heavily stressed mechanically: on goods with rivets, eyelets and appliqués, at high throughput and in operations where soles are frequently knocked. Where shine prevention is the priority, the PTFE version MICROFLON is superior.

Häufige Fragen
Does stainless steel cause shine on the garment?
More readily than a PTFE shoe. On delicate fabrics a pressing cloth or a MICROFLON shoe is the safer choice.
How long does a stainless steel shoe last?
Considerably longer than coated shoes, as there is no layer that can wear away.
How is the shoe cleaned?
With cleaning stick RS36 or Kleanfix powder on the sole at operating temperature; stainless steel tolerates more than a coating.
