Teflon® filament fabric RTG30 is a dark brown PTFE filament fabric at 300 gsm and 134 cm width. It is designed as a top cover for trough presses where adhesive strike-through and high continuous temperature are the critical factors.
Why a filament fabric rather than a coating
Coated fabrics carry a PTFE layer on a carrier cloth; once the layer abrades through, the material is finished. RTG30 consists of PTFE filaments themselves, so the non-stick effect sits in the fibre rather than only on the surface. This extends service life considerably under abrasive loads.
Adhesive repellence on fusing and trough presses
On fusing lines, adhesive strikes through the outer material and settles on the cover. On RTG30 it adheres only weakly and can usually be peeled off mechanically once cold. That replaces aggressive cleaning agents and extends the interval between cover changes.
Technical data and ordering
RTG30 is supplied on 50 metre rolls at 134 cm width, sold from one running metre. For customs purposes the material falls under the heading without preferential origin. PTFE filament fabric can be cut with sharp scissors; edges should be heat sealed.

Is RTG30 the same as PTFE glass fabric?
No. PTFE glass fabric has a glass fibre carrier with a PTFE coating. RTG30 is woven from PTFE filaments and is therefore more textile and more flexible.
How is the cover cleaned?
Residues can usually be removed mechanically once cooled; silicone sliding spray GS35 helps as a supplement.
What temperature does the fabric withstand?
PTFE is rated for continuous use into the 260 °C range and therefore suits all common trough temperatures.
