The Teflon® iron shoe MICROFLON for Veit HN 2000 S is a non-stick iron shoe with an aluminium frame in the dimension 210 x 66 mm. Narrow perforation. It is fitted over the existing sole and prevents shine, sticking and residues on the garment.
Heat transfer through aluminium
On a frame shoe, a thin aluminium layer with a non-stick coating sits between the heating surface and the garment. Aluminium conducts heat so well that the pressing temperature barely changes. For Veit HN 2000 S with 210 x 66 mm, the temperature setting therefore remains the governing parameter.
Avoiding shine on delicate fabrics
Bare metal soles press fibres flat under heat, light is reflected directionally and glazing appears. The PTFE coating of the MICROFLON shoe interrupts this direct metal contact. Wool, silk, viscose and dark suiting fabrics can therefore be pressed without a pressing cloth.
Fitting and replacement
The shoe is slid over the original sole and secured with the spring. The change takes less than a minute and needs no tools. The shoe is worn out when the coating is visibly abraded or the iron glides noticeably less easily.

Will the shoe fit my machine securely?
This version is made for Veit HN 2000 S with the dimension 210 x 66 mm. If in doubt, measure your original sole, as manufacturers change sole formats across production years.
Does the shoe change the pressing temperature?
Barely. Aluminium conducts heat very well; in practice a slight adjustment of the temperature setting may be all that is needed.
How is the shoe cleaned?
With a cleaning stick such as RS36 on the sole at operating temperature. Never use metal tools – scratches destroy the non-stick effect permanently.
