Trecolan ironfoam M5-T is a blue, open-cell PU foam with a 135 cm roll width in 5 and 10 mm thickness. It comes from the economical -T line and is the cheapest padding material in the range.
Where the low price pays off
As an interlayer in multi-layer build-ups, as a backing pad beneath the actual pad, and as replacement material where consumption is high. Wherever padding is replaced on a planned, frequent schedule, material price is the most important factor.
Open-cell structure
The open cells let steam and extraction air flow through the material. On ironing tables with extraction, drying performance is therefore retained, unlike with closed-cell foams which would block the air path.
Ordering and limits
Invoiced in square metres; one running metre at 135 cm equals 1.35 m². PU foam hardens faster than silicone foam at high continuous temperature. For presses in continuous operation the Soft-Fix® qualities are therefore the right choice.

Is M5-T suitable for pressing machines?
Only to a limited extent – PU foam hardens at high continuous temperature. On ironing tables it works well.
What does the -T marking mean?
It denotes the economical product line with origin China.
Which thickness should I choose?
5 mm as an interlayer, 10 mm where the pad has to carry on its own.
